Many of us have fears that we don’t want to overcome. However I believe it is our responsibility to face those fears, take a stance and discover our moral imperatives. Across the United States survivors of sexual assault and gender-based violence face a multitude of barriers. Systemic bias and prejudice inhibit them from reporting these crimes to law enforcement or pursuing legal action. This exposé reveals the unfortunate truth why that is so. Despite decades of education and public awareness, the pervasive ineptitude of criminal justice professionals dealing with this crime continues.
